To start the discussion two short tutorial videos were shown:
The photo topic for this meeting was ‘People and Water’ and 10 members submitted sets photos on the subject. As usual there were some very good photos (and some interesting stories to go with them) with the best of those submitted being shown below: Photo Shoot: Five members attended the long-anticipated photo shoot to Sydney Kingsford Smith airport on 11th April. Most of the photography was taken from ‘Shep’s Mound’ at the end of Ross Smith Avenue. We were fortunate with the weather as the planes were taking off from the North-South runway and leaving the tarmac directly in front of the viewing area. Brendon then went on to ‘The Beach’ which provided a better view of planes landing while the other 4 members drove to the Ikea carpark where photos of the planes flying overhead were taken. The best of these photos is also shown below: May Meeting (23rd May 2018): For the technical session Brendon will talk on lenses and how to choose one.
