Attendees: B Parker, R Evans, M Neilsen, R Dietrich, G Moore, R Bonella, J Cavanagh, J Devenish, D Connell Apologies: W Janssen, G Deutscher Technical discussion: The subject was Tripods with several different types of tripods demonstrated by John Devenish and Brendon Parker. Tripods should be used when there is insufficient light (ie slow shutter speeds), for Macro photography, for HDR and Focus stacking. It was recommended that the camera stabilisation should be turned off when using a tripod as it serves no useful purpose and may cause 'hunting'. A tripod should also be used for video photography and a swivel head of some sort should be used. Photo Shoot: The meeting agreed on a photo shoot outing to the Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour on Wednesday 19th June Photo Critique: The photo topic was 'The Ocean' and 9 members submitted sets of photos with the best from each member shown below: |
